About me
Likhith Dorbala is a versatile musician, educator, singer-songwriter and aspiring film composer whose journey in music began at the young age of five. As a child, he performed in nearly 200 shows and was also featured on ETV for an extraordinary blindfolded keyboard performance. His talent was recognised early on, earning him awards from eminent figures such as Padma Vibhushan Dr. Akkineni Nageshwar Rao (Indian Actor) and Padma Bhushan Dr. Nookala Chinasatyanarayana (Carnatic Musician, Classical vocalist) & appreciations from music composers like Mickey J Meyer. In his professional career, Likhith has toured the US, Canada, and Australia as a pianist & backing vocalist with Singer-songwriter Ram Miriyala. He also performed with various fusion bands from Hyderabad, and is known for his professional approach to performance engagements.
Currently enrolled in a film scoring and orchestration course with the prestigious Berklee Online, Likhith is working toward his goal of becoming a film composer and is expanding his musical expertise by learning the cello. His YouTube channel, with over 900,000 views and more than 6,500 subscribers, aims to make Western music theory and staff notation accessible to Indian audiences, with a focus on beginners.
As a songwriter, Likhith continues to share stories through his music, with his upcoming single, "Unfair", reflecting on the little moments of unfairness that everyone encounters throughout life. This fun, catchy song explores relatable experiences from childhood to adulthood, highlighting the amusingly unfair quirks of life.
With his Candlelight concert performances scheduled from November 2024, Likhith looks forward to delivering a exotic musical experience in Hyderabad, celebrating his inner musical child.
